Re Re Re Re Breaking the news 传递信息
A very old lady won a million dollars in a lottery. Her son and his wife heard the news on the radio.一个老太太中了一百万美金的奖金，她的儿子和媳妇在广播里听倒这个消息。
"How are we going to tell your mother?" the wife asked. "The shock might kill her!"
“我们应该怎么告诉你妈妈这个好消息？”媳妇问，“震惊会要她的命的”
"That’s true," the son said. "Perhaps we’d better speak to her doctor about it. He’ll know how to break the news to her gently."
“是啊”儿子说“也许我们最好线告诉她的医生，他会知道如何逐步的把消息传递给她”
They explained the situation to the old lady’s doctor.
他们向老太太的医生解释这个情况。
"I’m glad you told me," he said. "A shock, even a happy one, could give her a heart attack. Leave it to me. I’ll find a way of breaking the news to her."
“我很高兴你们告诉我”他说“震惊，特别是惊喜，会让给她心脏很大的打击，把问题留给我吧，我会找一个最好的方式把消息传递给她的”
He thought about the problem for several days, then decided what he would say.
这个问题他已经想了好几天了，最后他决定他要说了
He called on the old lady and sat by her bedside. He took her hand in his.
他访问了这个老太太，站在她旁边，握住她的手
"Let’s play a game, my dear," he said. "A ’Let’s Pretend’ game."
“亲爱的，我们做个游戏吧”她说“一个“让我们假设”的游戏”
"Oh, yes," the old lady said. "I love ’Let’s Pretend’ games."
“好呀”老太太说“我喜欢“让我们假设”这个游戏。”
"Good. I’ll ask you a question first," the doctor said. "Then you can ask me one."
“那太好了。我先问你一个问题。”医生说“然后你可以问我一个问题”
He pretended to think for a while, and said, "Tell me, what would you do if you won a million dollars in the lottery?"
他假装想了一会，说“告诉我，如果你中了100万美金的奖金你会怎么做？”
"Oh, that’s an easy one," the old lady said. "I’d give most of it to you, doctor, because you have been so good to me all these years. Doctor!"
“OH，这太简单了”老太太说“我会把大部分都给你，医生，这么多年来你对我一直都很好”
But the doctor was now lying on the floor. He had died of shock.
但是医生现在躺在地板上，他死于震惊了~~
